Kazakhstan’s Secretary of State Gulshara Abdykalikova visits setting of scenic story in Zhastar metropolitan theater

The event, also attended by MPs and the country’s prominent figures of culture and art, has been held as part of the festivities of the 25th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s Independence. Under the presidential decree ‘On celebration of the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan’ the month of October gets under title ‘Mangilik Mura’ and is dedicated to the cultural heritage of the people of Kazakhstan and pieces of art and creativity of great value.

The staging presented to the spectators and inspired by the famous story of a prominent writer Berdybek Sokpakbayev ‘Menin Atym Kozha’ (My name is Kozha) is in a modern style and imbued with lyrical melodies.

Before the performance Gulshara Abdykalikova in the interview to the national mass media noted that the Head of State had repeatedly emphasized the key role of the cultural sector in the country. At present there are 64 theaters, 234 museums, 4,168 libraries and 3,180 clubs in Kazakhstan.

During her visit to Zhastar theater the Secretary of State was acquainted with its ongoing activities, the creative team and plans for continuous development. Gulshara Abdykalikova noted the important contribution of the creative theater troupe to the spiritual and cultural life of the country.
