The Head of State heard a report on the main results of the Agency’s activities since the beginning of 2020 and the execution of the President’s instructions.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was informed about the preparations for the selection of the Presidential Personnel Reserve 2.0, to be started in early 2021, which will include 50 people. In particular, Anar Zhailganova spoke about increasing the criteria and qualification requirements for candidates. The focus will be given for the creation a pool of people guided by public interests. Recruitment will be focusing on identifying transformational leaders with real experience of transformation.
President Tokayev noted the importance of high quality and transparent selection in order to select the most worthy applicants.
The Chairman of the Agency also spoke about the work to improve the system of selection for public service. According to her, in this direction, it is proposed to identify the competencies required for both managerial and executive positions, not through testing, but through interviews, which should improve the quality of selection.
Furthermore, the President was informed about the work on reducing the state apparatus, professionalizing the political civil service, and digitalizing public administration processes.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev gave Anar Zhailganova some instructions related to the main areas of the Agency’s work.
