President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev receives Andrei Fursenko, Assistant to the President of Russia

The Head of State noted the importance of the Kazakh-Russian partnership and alliance in ensuring the long-term national interests of the two countries.

- The First President of Kazakhstan, Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev always emphasizes that relations between Kazakhstan and Russia are standard. Therefore, my duty as the Head of State is to give additional impetus to the development of bilateral cooperation, the foundations of which were laid by our leaders, Nursultan A. Nazarbayev and Vladimir V. Putin, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.

In the context of the upcoming official visit to the Russian Federation, the Head of State noted that during the talks at the highest level, issues of education, science, technological and cultural exchange will also be under consideration.

In turn, Andrei Fursenko informed Kassym-Jomart Tokayev about the results of his visit to Nur-Sultan.

- We had constructive and interesting negotiations, visited the National Centre for Biotechnology, Nazarbayev University, the Senate of Parliament. Today, our countries have quite successful cooperation in science. There are common priorities and development potential in this direction, the Assistant to the President of Russia noted.
