Opening the Conference, the Secretary of State focused on the words of Nursultan Nazarbayev, I wanted Astana to become well-known all over the world not only as a new capital and political platform, but also as a centre where technologies, finances, intellectual resources join.
- One of the key priorities of the state policy lies in creating the most attractive conditions for doing business. To this end, at the initiative of the President of the country, a unique Astana International Financial Centre was created, the presentation of which will be held tomorrow. AIFC embodies the best practices of the world financial centres. A special emphasis will be placed on the legal regime. Today, its work is based on the principles, norms and precedents of the law of England and Wales, as well as the standards of internationally recognized financial centres with an independent judiciary, Gulshara Abdykalikova said.
At the Conference, prominent Kazakhstani and foreign lawmakers discussed topical issues in the field of AIFC activities, in particular issues related to dispute resolution and the applicable law of AIFC.
At the end of the speech, the State Secretary of Kazakhstan Gulshara Abdykalikova expressed her confidence that there will be a constructive dialogue during the Conference and close business ties will be established.
