Participation of Kazakhstan’s State Secretary in the expanded meeting of the Council of the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan

The MPs, heads of state bodies, members of the Assembly, representatives of national and regional ethno-cultural associations, heads of secretariats of regional assemblies and members of the Assembly’s Research and Expert Council have attended the meeting.

The State Secretary in her speech stressed that on the instructions of Nursultan Nazarbayev a large-scale system modernization has begun in Kazakhstan, which covers economy, politics and public consciousness.

- The program of improving public consciousness referred to as “Ruhani Zhangyru” has given powerful impetus to the Assembly’s activities, Abdykalikova said.

The Secretary of State emphasized the need for every ethno-cultural association to participate in the promoting the projects "Tugan Zher", "Sacred Geography of Kazakhstan", "Modern Kazakhstan Culture in Global World", and the State Language Latinization.

The Secretary of State informed that there are active 1338 ethno-cultural associations in the country, 41 Houses of Friendship, with about 3 thousand Councils of Public Consent. Over 500 thousand people have received financial assistance, more than 18 thousand organizations for a total of over 4.1 billion tenge.

Gulshara Abdykalikova stressed that in 2018 the country celebrates the 20th anniversary of the capital city. Astana is a symbol of Independent Kazakhstan, the embodiment of the idea of ​​the President of Kazakhstan and the result of the whole nation's work. The Secretary of State proposed to develop an appropriate plan for the Assembly’s activities.

During the meeting, there was a discussion of the draft amendments and additions to Law "On the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan", working out of the interactive historical map "The Nation of Kazakhstan", creation of a multifunctional multimedia portal, the experience of the Assembly of Pavlodar region in realizing “Ruhani Zhangyru” Program.
