Visiting the new tennis centre Ace

May 5, 2018

During the visit to the sports facility, the Head of State noted that for 10 years all necessary conditions for tennis progress had been created in Kazakhstan. The number of courts has quadrupled - from 60 to 244; the number of athletes in this sport is growing every year.

- Tennis development is provided by the appropriate infrastructure. Each region shall have a world standard centre, so that children have the opportunity to play sports and reach professional heights. I hope that your students will become world-class stars, Nursultan Nazarbayev said.

During the conversation with the young tennis players, the President of Kazakhstan wished them to be always confident of victory, achieve the set goals, showing perseverance and sportsmanship.

The tennis centre Ace has 4 indoor and 6 outdoor courts with a total area of 8100 sq. m. with hard cover. There are also 2 gyms, a medical centre, locker rooms, instructor's offices, a conference hall, and food outlets. All courts have lighting that meets international requirements. This is the only tennis centre in Almaty to host ATP Challenger tournaments in the summer.

Private investors funded the construction of the sports centre.
