Within the framework of the visit during July 12-14 this year, Gulshara Abdykalikova, the State Secretary of Kazakhstan, met with Natalya Kochanova, the Head of the Presidential Administration of Belarus.
During the meeting, issues of bilateral cooperation in the trade and economic sphere, at the interregional level and in the cultural and humanitarian area were discussed.
The State Secretary noted that the commodity turnover between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Belarus for the period January-April 2017 amounted to $ 160.4 million and increased by almost 76% compared to the same period in 2016.
Gulshara Abdykalikova expressed her gratitude to the Belarusian side for active participation in the international specialized exhibition EXPO-2017 held in Astana.
Natalya Kochanova, in her turn, thanked the guest for the visit, as well as for the invitation to take part in the international women's forum "Women for Future Energy" within the framework of EXPO-2017.
As part of the visit, Kazakhstan’s State Secretary took part in the opening of "Slavonic Bazaar" international festival of arts, the largest cultural forum that unites countries and continents.
"Slavonic Bazaar" was founded in July 1992. The International Festival is a long-term cultural project of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, which promotes the realization of humanitarian cooperation, the revival and development of artistic culture and art.
Kazakhstan actively participates in this festival and takes prizes. In 2015, Dimash Kudaibergen won the Grand Prix of this international competition.
