More than 500 Kazakh and Turkish companies specialized in the spheres of construction, production of construction materials, agriculture, food industry, engineering industry, wood processing industry, textiles industry, livestock farming, shipbuilding, and petrochemistry attended the forum.
The Industrial and Innovation Development Program until 2020 is being realized in Kazakhstan. Within the framework of this program 144 projects will be finished with total of US$ 5 billion. Moreover, 47 new projects with a total of US$ 26 billion will be launched as well.
Nursultan Nazarbayev called on the representatives of Turkish business circles to participate in implementation of these projects.
The President highlighted the opportunities being opened for the Turkish investors with the establishment of the Customs Union of Kazakhstan, Belarus and Russia.
“It is a common market with a total population of 170 million people and US$ 2 trillion of GDP,” Nursultan Nazarbayev highlighted.
In turn, the President of Turkey spoke highly of the economic development rates of Kazakhstan. He has also expressed admiration for the pace of construction of Kazakhstan’s capital Astana.
“Kazakhstan is not only the heart of Asia but is a sparkling star of this region,” Abdullah Gul stressed.
The President of Turkey also called on Turkish businessmen to invest in the economy of Kazakhstan.
“Kazakhstan is a country with all opportunities created for the making business,“ the Turkish President highlighted.
Besides, Abdullah Gul called on Kazakh businessmen to invest in Turkey.
