In the afternoon, the President visited a number of new municipal objects in Temirtau.
Nursultan Nazarbayev visited a new mosque and Svyato-Nikolsky Cathedral that were opened on the eve of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Karaganda Steel Mill. The head of state congratulated all believers on this important holiday and expressed confidence that the mosque and the temple will facilitate the revival of spiritual values.
The President then visited a new Wedding Palace. The first registration of marriage took place at the palace. Nursultan Nazarbayev cordially congratulated the newly-married couple and wished them happiness and prosperity in their family.
On the same day the head of state met with the investors of the country's mining and metallurgical sector.
