In his speech, the Head of State congratulated all women of Kazakhstan on the International Women's Day on March 8.
Nursultan Nazarbayev, noting the special role of women in the country’s life, has drawn attention to the need to preserve moral values among the younger generation of Kazakhstan.
- In the context of globalization, we should preserve the noble virtues inherent in our girls. In the age of the Internet, it is impossible to permanently limit the flow of information from outside. Each girl should have an internal filter to distinguish between good and bad, the President of Kazakhstan said.
The Head of State stressed that the adopted Five Social Initiatives, first of all, are addressed to the female half of Kazakhstan's society.
Nursultan Nazarbayev noted that Kazakh women, personifying an inexhaustible source of energy of good and creativity, contribute to the strengthening of peace and unity in our country.
- Today, the entire system of upbringing and educating the younger generation is on your shoulders. It is you who take the basic care for our children, form their worldview and carefully cultivate in them self-confidence and their own strength. By your faith, hope and love, you lay a solid foundation for the successful future of our country, the President of Kazakhstan said.
The Kazakh leader noted that Kazakhstan currently has about a quarter of a million honourable winners of Altyn Alka (golden award) and Kumis Alka (silver award), and also stressed the significant contribution of our compatriots to the state’s progressive development.
- Birth of new citizens and the nation’s multiplication is the main strategic goal of our state. There is no such sphere where women could not achieve success. Professional and sports peaks knock down to you, as well as scientific and political Olympics. Today, out of almost three thousand doctoral students, 60% are women. Almost a third of the Majilis deputies are women. In general, the share of women in the civil service exceeds half. I consider that to be the correct approach that contributes to improving the efficiency of public administration, the President of Kazakhstan said.
Nursultan Nazarbayev on behalf of all the men of the country once again congratulated all women on the holiday and wished them happiness, love and prosperity.
At the end of his speech, the President of Kazakhstan presented the Altyn Alka Award to A.Tuzelbaeva, a multi-child mother from South Kazakhstan, and the Kumis Alka Award to R.Ayaganova from Astana.
