Meeting of Kazakhstan’s State Secretary with Alexey Borodavkin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Kazakhstan

The State Secretary stressed that at the present stage the relations between Kazakhstan and Russia serve as a vivid example of good-neighbourliness based on trust and mutual understanding. They are based on the good relations between the two leaders - Nursultan Nazarbayev and Vladimir Putin.

- Intensive political dialogue is developing between our countries; close economic ties have been built. Сooperation in the cultural, humanitarian and scientific-educational spheres is eventful. It is important to maintain the given high rate of Kazakh-Russian cooperation, the Secretary of State said.

The Secretary noted that the current year the country celebrates Astana’s 20th anniversary, the symbol of Independent Kazakhstan. It is noteworthy that Russian partners are among the first to launch events dedicated to this anniversary. So, on April 27 the Moscow Independent Theatre will present The Master and Margarita play on the stage of Gorky State Academic Russian Drama Theatre.

Gulshara Abdikalikova stressed that over the years of Independence, Kazakhstan has done a great job in forming the society with equal rights and equal opportunities. Two gender-oriented laws have been adopted: On State Guarantees of Equal Rights and Equal Opportunities for Men and Women  and On Prevention of Domestic Violence as well as the Concept of Family and Gender Policy until 2030.

At the end of the meeting, the State Secretary of Kazakhstan Gulshara Abdykalikova wished the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Kazakhstan Alexey Borodavkin great successes in further development and strengthening of bilateral relations in the spirit of strategic partnership and alliance.
