Telegram of condolences on the death of the writer Gerold Belger

The Head of State expressed his condolences to the family of a well-known writer Gerold Belger and noted that it was with deep sorrow that he found out about Belger’s passing. The President said that the writer's death was a great loss to Kazakhstan.

“Gerold Belger’s life was filled with selfless love to Kazakhstan and it was the example of true patriotism. His artistic legacy has become a priceless asset of our culture, while his high moral and spiritual principles that guided him through his life served as an empowering inspiration to many generations,” Nursultan Nazarbayev stressed in the telegram.

In the message, the President pointed out that Gerold Belger will be remembered not only for his artistic legacy, but also for his remarkable human qualities, benevolence and solicitous attitude to his work.  “Belger took an active part in the social life of our country and his deeds and thoughts were always focused on the assertion of peace, goodness and spirituality,” the President said.

“The merits of Gerold Belger were marked by honourable distinctions; he was the laureate of the Presidential Peace and Spiritual Accord Prize. The people of Kazakhstan will always cherish good memories of him,” the telegram reads.
