During his official visit to Ukraine the Head of the State Nursultan Nazarbayev participated in the celebration devoted to the 80th anniversary of Dneprodzerzhinsk Higher Vocational School.

President of Kazakhstan was welcomed by honored townsfolk, war veterans, graduates and students of the school. I am glad to visit the city of my youth again. I spent my school-days here, studied my profession and made close friends. That is why every time I visit Ukraine, I try to come here and know more about your life, what changers are taking place here, Nursultan Nazarbayev said, addressing the residents of Dneprodzerzhinsk.

The people of Kazakhstan wish Ukraine stability and prosperity. We have great potential of cooperation in various spheres and we will further strengthen it, the Head of the State said.

Having congratulated the staff of the school in the hall of Dneprodzerzhinsk Higher Vocational School, Nursultan Nazarbayev warmly noted his school-days he spent there. President expressed gratitude to his teachers and mentors. At this school I acquired knowledge and studied metallurgy, loved sport. Being a monitor in a group and involved in public activities I acquired organization skills that helped me much in future, the President emphasized.

Head of the State noted existing constructive political dialogue at the summit level, great potential for the development of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.

In 2004, the trade turnover between our countries reached more than 1 billion dollars and it was not a limit. Our task is to promote its growth, the leader of Kazakhstan said. Nursultan Nazarbayev called prospective bilateral economic cooperation in fuel and energy, transport and communications, agriculture, light industry, metallurgy and engineering, banking.

Head of the State also stated on Kazakhstan’s intention to annually send kazakhstani young people to study engineering professions in Ukraine.

President wished the educators and students of the Dneprodzerzhinsk Higher Vocational School, residents of Dneprodzerzhinsk happiness and prosperity.
