Yerzhan Zhienbayev was born in 1981 in Almaty.
He graduated from Turan University in 2004 with a major in law.
From 2002 to 2005, he worked in the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan.
Since 2005, he worked in the Office of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan. He worked as senior expert, Chief expert, chief consultant, Head of the unit, Deputy Head of the Legal Department of the Office of the Prime Minister.
From 2012 to 2013, he was Deputy Head of the Legislation, Defense and Law Enforcement Department of the Office of the Prime Minister.
From 2013 to July 2019, he served as Head of the Legal Department of the Office of the Prime Minister.
From July to October 2019, he held the position of the Deputy Head of the Office of the Prime Minister.
On October 23, 2019 by the Decree of the Head of State, Yerzhan Zhienbayev was appointed as Deputy Chief of Staff of the President of Kazakhstan.
He holds "Qurmet" Order and 4 jubilee medals.
