Participation of Gulshara Abdykalikova, State Secretary of Kazakhstan, in the ceremony of accepting credentials

During the ceremony, the Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary in the Republic of Kazakhstan concurrently handed over their credentials. They are Juan Enrique Delgado Hunt, the Eastern Republic of Uruguay, Alfonso López Caballero, the Republic of Colombia, Petros Tsegay, the State of Eritrea, Ioane Nayvaluruan, the Republic of Fiji, Siviengfeta Fetvorasac, Lao People's Democratic Republic, Rodrigo Jose Nieto Maturana, Republic of Chile and Gisela Atalida Godinez Saso, Republic of Guatemala.

Gulshara Abdykalikova congratulated the Ambassadors on the official start of the diplomatic mission in Kazakhstan and expressed hope that their activities would contribute to building the potential of cooperation between the countries.

During the meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay the Secretary of State has noted that Uruguay is one of the most promising partners for Kazakhstan in Latin America, and expressed appreciation for the support of Kazakhstan's candidacy in the elections non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for 2017-2018.

- I believe that trade and economic cooperation should be the locomotive of bilateral cooperation. In this regard, we need to intensify our business relations, with a focus on increasing trade and mutual investment, Secretary of State said at the meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Colombia.

At the meeting with Gulshara Abdykalikova, the Ambassador of the State of Eritrea noted that Kazakhstan, as the UN Security Council non-permanent member, taking on the responsibilities as Chairman of Somalia and Eritrea Sanctions Committee, is seeking to promote peace, stability and security in the Horn of Africa, and on the whole continent as a whole.

During the conversation with the Ambassador of the Republic of Fiji, Gulshara Abdykalikova has drawn attention to the fact that one of the promising areas of cooperation is tourism. Development of interaction in this area could be facilitated by establishing direct links between tourist agencies and companies of the two countries.

At the meeting with the Ambassador of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, the Secretary of State stressed that intensification of economic cooperation with the countries of South-East Asia occupies an important place in Kazakhstan’s foreign policy. Kazakhstan is interested in using the experience and working mechanisms of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

-We are grateful to the Government of Chile for its support in the issues of Kazakhstan’s joining the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the Secretary of State said at the meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Chile.

During the meeting with the Ambassador of Guatemala, Secretary of State said that the important area of ​​cooperation between the two states could be the implementation of joint projects in areas such as infrastructure, finance, service and maintenance, transport, agriculture, light and food industry and tourism.

G.Abdykalikova has also invited all the countries to participate in projects that will be implemented ath the site of EXPO2017 exhibition following its completion: Astana International Financial Centre, International Centre for green technology development and investment projects under the UN auspices and the IT-Startup International Technical Park.

The State Secretary wished the Ambassadors success and expressed confidence in the successful development of the dialogue between our countries.
