The National Development Plan of the Republic of Kazakhstan until 2029, approved by Decree No. 611 of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 30, 2024, is a document of the State Planning System providing the goal, main directions, development priorities, approaches to their achievement and key national indicators of the country's development in the relevant planning period, aimed at achieving long-term targets of the country's development.

Five principles:

• Liberalization and stimulation of competition to improve global competitiveness and the quality of goods and services.
• Protection and development of entrepreneurship, clear, predictable and attractive to investors economic policy, which will provide the economy with sufficient investment for growth.
• Unlocking the potential of people of Kazakhstan with a focus on ensuring quality education and supporting entrepreneurship and creativity.
• A focus on increasing productivity and economic complexity through expanding innovation activity, modernisation and digitalisation of industries and enterprises.
• Preventing critical gaps in development of the regions and creating conditions for regions to realise their potential and greater economic independence.
