President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev awarded the Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, who is in Kazakhstan on a state visit, with the highest state award of the Republic of Kazakhstan - the Order of Altyn Kyran.
During the presentation ceremony, the Head of State noted the authority of the Amir of Qatar among his compatriots, his wisdom in leading the country and his outstanding personal qualities, as well as his significant contribution to maintaining security and stability in the world.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev recalled that at a recent meeting with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in Doha, an agreement was reached to establish a strategic partnership between the two states. The President of Kazakhstan stressed that he would make every effort to further strengthen the friendly relations.
Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani said that he was pleased to visit our country for the second time, and expressed gratitude to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for presenting the highest award of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
