President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev thanked Feridun Sinirlioğlu for his active participation in the Regional Environmental Summit, emphasizing that this new platform was launched to seek joint solutions to shared environmental challenges facing Central Asia and beyond.
The parties expressed a mutual interest in continuing cooperation in the fields of sustainable development, climate resilience, rational water use, and economic connectivity.
The President confirmed that Kazakhstan remains firmly committed to further strengthening its cooperation across all three OSCE dimensions, while this partnership rests on the principles enshrined in the Astana Declaration of the 2010 OSCE Summit.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized that human rights, democracy, and the rule of law are at the top of the domestic agenda.
As the Head of State stressed, Kazakhstan is advancing a far-reaching reform aimed at building Just and Strong Kazakhstan. The recently held referendum and adoption of the new Constitution mark an important milestone in the transformation of the country’s political system.
Taken together, these reforms reflect the country’s firm commitment to strengthening the rule of law, enhancing accountability, and ensuring more sustainable and resilient governance for the future.
In turn, Feridun Sinirlioğlu thanked the President for the invitation to participate in the Regional Environmental Summit and commended Kazakhstan's leadership in advancing the climate and environmental agenda in Central Asia and beyond.
Furthermore, the Secretary General reiterated Kazakhstan's pivotal role in the Organization's activities.
The participants also exchanged views on topical issues on the regional and international agenda.
